Running from Friday December 30th 2011 to Sunday January 1st 2012, the latest edition of this popular event boasts a busy line-up of live entertainment and something to suit revellers of all tastes.

New Year Live at the Guinness Storehouse is the most high-profile item on the festival programme, with live bands and DJs set to perform at the popular visitor attraction on New Year's Eve.

Ryan Sheridan, Rattle and Hum and the Knights of Leon - a Kings of Leon tribute band - have been confirmed for the event. Tickets are priced at €79 (£67.60).

Elsewhere, people can enjoy a New Year's Eve performance by the Dublin Gospel Choir at Christchurch Cathedral as part of the festival's other flagship event.

Tickets for the concert, which offers the chance to hear beautiful choral music in one of the city's most exquisite settings, are priced between €30 and €39.

The Dublin Gospel Choir are also due to perform at the cathedral on New Year's Day for those who want to kick off 2012 with an evening of soaring vocals and soothing sounds.

Revellers can browse a wide range of Dublin hotels at LateRooms.com, which recommends the Maldron Hotel Smithfield.
