A recent study in Sweden of 86 women conducted in a popular underwear retailer compared the effect a normal mirror and The Skinny Mirror has on female consumer perception, attitude, and shopping behavior.

Sand City, CA, November 17, 2014 -- /EPR NETWORK/ -- The fitting room is usually where the consumer makes their final evaluation about the products while assessing personal appearance, and finally deciding whether or not to purchase the garment.

The survey results conclude that female consumers who have been exposed to The Skinny Mirror in a fitting room experienced less body-discrepancy between their perceived actual and perceived ideal body, compared to female consumers who have been exposed to a normal mirror. Those exposed to The Skinny Mirror also had a more positive attitude towards their body and purchased more of the items tried on compared to those exposed to a normal mirror. Additional findings reveal The Skinny Mirror does not affect body-size distortion because most women believe they are larger than they really are. These results prove The Skinny Mirror positively influences the female consumer’s fitting room experience in terms of perception and attitude of body image, resulting in a higher conversion of sales (up to 20%).

“Your dressing room mirrors are a sales tool that will compliment your customer in an “intimate” setting where they normally would not allow a stranger to give feedback.” says founder Belinda Jasmine.
