Los Angeles, CA, October 16, 2015 -- /EPR NETWORK/ -- Wurrly, a free app that transforms your smartphone into an on-the-go music studio, is proud to announce that it has partnered with CAMMO Music to share the voices of military veterans and active service members. Wurrly is excited to announce the new partnership with CAMMO Music to feature their talented artists and work with their many music therapy programs.

Wurrly enables users to choose a song, customize it by key, tempo, and instrumentation, then record and share it quickly and easily. Users simply download the app, and tap the Wurrly icon to select a song to record. They can choose piano, full band, or guitar versions in any key and tempo. Mic levels can be monitored, and recordings can be enhanced with a variety of mix filters. Wurrly includes a large catalog of songs from all popular genres of music, which can also be previewed and customized in real time with the push of a button. Users' customized recordings, which are called "Wurrlies", can be shared via email, SMS, or social media.

CAMMO Music creates musical opportunities for military veterans, opening the door for performances on America’s Got Talent, The Today Show, Larry King Live, Good Morning America, and many other media outlets. Members of the popular musical group 4Troops are included in the expansive list of CAMMO Music users; 4Troops self-titled album recently hit #11 on the Billboard Heatseekers charts.

The Center for American Military Music Opportunities (CAMMO) was founded in 2009, and operates with the goal of helping veterans and active duty servicemembers overcome specific challenges they may face. Current operations are in northern Virginia and the Washington, D.C metro area, with plans underway for acquiring centers in California, New York, Tennessee, Texas, and more.

A CAMMO artist will be featured on Wurrly every day until Veteran’s Day. The artist’s profile will feature a CAMMO badge so they are easily identifiable. Wurrly is currently working with CAMMO on partnering with their music therapy programs. Many of the vets have PTSD or traumatic brain injuries. Some cannot even talk, but CAMMO has been able to get them to sing. Wurrly is thrilled to offer its platform to help encourage this. Wurrlies can be kept private, or they can be shared with the vet’s family, friends, therapists, or the World.

Both organizations, Wurrly and CAMMO, are excited to announce the new partnership, not only to bring the voice of American veterans and active duty members to the world through music, but also to bring musical tools, opportunities, events, and therapy programs to CAMMO artists.

“We are both humbled and excited to announce our partnership with CAMMO. Wurrly proudly supports military veterans and servicemembers, and we look forward to being able to give veterans another outlet to heal, to grow, and to showcase their amazing talents,” says Nadine Levitt, Founder of Wurrly. “We’re firm believers in the power of music and, together with CAMMO, we can’t wait to share that power and give back to this courageous community.”
