DirectRooms.com announces that Ubud is offering an exclusive retreat that incorporates yoga and techniques to be aware of stillness so that attendees can leave feeling totally refreshed.

Senses and Stillness Retreats – See, Feel, Touch, Be are designed to stimulate all of the senses by combining a mixture of disciplines. Through the practice of these disciplines the retreat aims to enable people to feel calmer within themselves and act as a balance to people’s busy schedules.

The programme mixes yoga with creative writing, Balinese culture and imagery which help attendees find their awareness of space and to be able to connect with the present. The use of imagery is done through camera work where people can learn to take pictures which help to provide stillness in what they’re doing. Along with the creative writing this helps to focus on what a person’s mind is thinking about to create meditative qualities.

The retreats are run by Vijoleta, a certified yoga teacher with more than 20 years of experience and Ketut who brings the Balinese influence and insight into the culture of the people.

The next retreat will run from 6th to 12th June 2011 in the mountains of Penestanan near Ubud and the number of people taking part in the course is expected to make finding a hotel in Ubud more difficult than usual.

Lek Boonlert, marketing head at DirectRooms.com commented: “The retreats are popular with people that want an escape and this is reflected in the demand for hotels which can be fully booked during this time.”
