Music festival for under-19s returns for sixth successive year with a teen-heavy bill.

-- /EPR NETWORK/ -- London's Underage Festival will return for its sixth year on August 31st. The event, open to 14-19 year olds, boasts a young bill with bands including Devlin, Wolf Gang, Janelle and Rizzie Kicks.

Some 10,000 teens will descend on Shoreditch Park for the one-day event. It's the first time there for the festival, which has been running in Victoria Park since 2007, when teenager Sam Kilcoyne decided to set up an event catering solely to teenagers, who are often refused entry to gigs and other festivals.

Thanks to a reassuring safety record, no alcohol, and 8pm curfew, the Underage Festival has been a critical success with parents and authorities, and a commercial success for its young entrepreneur organizer.

Early bird tickets cost £19.50, more than five pounds cheaper than last year's £25. For those travelling with parents from outside London and looking to make a weekend of it, LondonTown.com is offering discounts on a number of London hotels close to Shoreditch Park. Discounts apply only when booking through LondonTown.com.

Among the deals on offer, the Thistle City Barbican Hotel is offering an 86% discount on a standard rate, bringing the cost down to just £71. The hotel is a ten minute walk from Shoreditch Park.
