LondonTown offers tips on where to stay throughout the three-day Worlds Together event at the Tate Britain

-- /EPR NETWORK/ -- A collaborative project between the Tate Modern, the British Museum, the National Theatre and the Royal Shakespeare Company, Worlds Together will discuss the relevance and importance the arts play in the lives of young people in the UK today.

The three-day event will be held at the Tate Modern's newest exhibition space: The Tanks. Drawing from every medium of art including digital technologies and Shakespeare the forum is a chance to explore how the arts impacts children's cultural and learning experiences.

The role of the arts will be discussed by stakeholders from across the globe including artists, professionals and teachers.

Speakers at Worlds Together include Tate Director Sir Nicholas Serota and Professor James Shapiro from Columbia University, New York.

Workshops will be conducted by Lynn Darnley, head of text, voice and artists' development at the Royal Shakespeare Company and Kate Godfrey, National Theatre Voice Practitioner.

Further lectures and workshops along with seminars, panel discussions and tours will round of the programme.

The event runs from 6-8 September and tickets cost £395. Places are limited so early booking is recommended.
