LondonTown.com offering discount rates for event concurrent with summer Olympics.

-- /EPR NETWORK/ -- LondonTown.com, the capital's premier information and booking website, has announced details of cheap London hotels close to Waltham Abbey, where the People's Fringe Festival is taking place this August.

Discounted rooms are available at some of East London's foremost hotels - such as the All Seasons London Leyton Hotel, which is offering double rooms from just £49 (a 40% discount) – and are intended to make staying in London more affordable, especially during the Olympics when prices are likely to be inflated and the city will be at capacity.

Another heavily discounted option is the County Hotel Woodford, which is perfectly located for the People's Fringe and offers a picturesque setting at the southern tip of Epping Forest. Rooms are available from just £50, a massive 79% saving.

The event itself is designed to bring Londoners together during the final few days of the Olympics, offering food stalls and participation in the sorts of games not being played at the big event. The exceptions to the rule are volleyball and mountain biking, both of which will be on offer at the People's Fringe.

The People's Fringe will comprise a whole a series of villages, representing different sports and activities. Chefs will prepare food at over 500 market stalls, while traditional dance workshops take place all over the festival. There will also be a supervised children's area.

The People's Fringe runs from August 3rd to August 12th, with family tickets costing £50 per day (two adults and two children). The festival will be open daily from 10am to 5.30pm. For more information on the People's Fringe, and to see more cheap London hotels in the area, visit LondonTown.com.
